Albatera a village near Crevillente

The municipality covers an area of 66,3268 km² and is 15 metres above sea level. The area has a typical Mediterranean climate, with an average Annual temperature 19ºC.
This area of the Vega Baja has one of the lowest rain falls in Spain.
Albatera is of very easy reach, so it is situated between the capitals of Alicante and Murcia provinces.
From Valencia and Alicante: Land Road N-340 following from Valencia and Alicante to Murcia goes through Albatera. So, if you start from Valencia, you have to go in the direction of Alicante. Leaving from Alicante follow the same road and after 36 km. in direction of Murcia. By Motorway A-7: Exit 78 for Albatera.
By Motorway A-7: Exit 78 North From Murcia take the Land Road N-340 and go in direction of Alicante. After 41 km you will arrive to Albatera.
There is a park, the Municipal park “Parque de la Huerta” with 30.000 m² of gardens with a small lake and fountain. There are several pathsways in the park, such as “The Poet Path”, “Concord Promenade”, “Jolly walk” or “Way of loosing steps”. The park is provided with Petanca court and children's play areas.

A new golf course of eighteen holes is in construction with a housing development.
