Alcázares
An attractive promenade runs to the north from the busy holiday town, where the Spanish have been coming from the hot interior during July and August, for many years.
There are several restaurants and bars (many erected just for the summer months) alongside the Mar Menor, this is one of the most favoured spots having many facilities, eg. hotels, restaurants, banks, etc and where the water is warm and safe.
Playa Paraiso
This beach is situated to the north side of the Mar Menor and
also be walked to along the the lovely promenade from Alcázares.
There is a nautical club here, with a sailing school.
Playa Hondo

A pretty beach with a nice promenade.
Situated to the south side of the Mar Menor here are facilities for water sports.
Playa de los Nietos (of the children)
Situated to the south of Los Urrutis in the municipality of Alcázares.
Here the old village has been expanded to the south with a well constructed urbanization, developed by "Golf Invest" the beach is very pleasant and there are some shops, banks, pharmacy, restaurants and bars nearby
Playa de los Urrutias
A village beach of more than one kilometre with a good choice of available water sports equipment.
A long beach with very smooth tranquil water and a very attractive promenade.
The La Manga Strip
To the west of the Mar Menor runs the famous strip, where there is an abundance of hotels and restaurants and many holiday apartments and villas. It is still very seasonal, being extremely popular with the Spanish during the summer months, but during the winter only a few hotels remain open mainly to entertain Spanish senior citizens on reduced rate holidays.
The strip runs to the north, the Mediterranean to the east and the Mar Menor lagoon to the west. almost reaching San Pedro del Pinatar, where the waters of the Mediterranean feed into the lagoon.
Villa Nanitos
Near the mud baths of San Pedro del Pinatar, with various sporting facilities such as wind surfing, volley ball, kayaking and waterskiing.
